Level Playing Field Lawyers has represented contractors and subcontractors in construction disputes, Security of Payment adjudications and commercial negotiations. Across those matters, the firm consistently encountered the same underlying problem: contractors who had a legitimate entitlement but lost ground because the process around it was not strong enough.
Time bars activated because notice was not issued in time. Payment claims weakened because records were scattered. Variation entitlements contested because instructions were never formally documented. The legal response to those situations is often difficult and expensive. The earlier response — building a process strong enough to prevent the problem — is better for contractors. CLAWZ was built from that insight, translating what the firm learned about construction disputes into a practical system that helps contractors protect their position before a dispute starts.
