At Level Playing Field Lawyers, we’re proud to announce a landmark collaboration with the Crane Industry Council of Australia (CICA).
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the construction industry, we were engaged to prepare CICA’s new Service Agreement Template—a resource designed to streamline contracting, improve safety, and foster greater efficiency in the crane industry.
This template will officially launch on Thursday, 21 November 2024, at 2pm AEDT.
What’s the Template About?
This Service Agreement Template simplifies the contracting process by providing a clear, adaptable structure tailored for crane service providers.
How to Access it?
In its current form, it can be seamlessly used by CraneSafe Assessors through the CraneSafe app, ensuring that crane owners and head contractors have a clear understanding of:
- The scope of works; and
- Terms and conditions
CraneSafe Assessors conduct important visual inspections on cranes Australia wide.
The inspections are conducted through the CraneSafe app.
The CraneSafe app will now provide the option to use CICA’s Service Agreement template.
Key highlights of the template include:
- Enhanced Risk Management: With well-defined terms around liability and indemnity, relevant to the crane industry.
- Special Provisions for CraneSafe Inspections: The template includes specific clauses that improve clarity around the role of CraneSafe Assessors, ensuring a transparent Scope of Works.
- Adaptability Across Services: While tailored for CraneSafe Assessors, the template is flexible and can be adapted to meet the needs of various crane service providers.
How Does it Benefit the Industry?
This Service Agreement Template is more than just a document—it’s the culmination of working groups and consultation with industry stakeholders including insurance providers, crane owners and CraneSafe Assessors.
This milestone represents a significant advancement in the access to contracts in a site based environment.
