Are you experiencing a labour shortage?
It’s no secret that there is an industry-wide labour shortage currently hitting the construction industry.
Late last year the government announced that they are increasing the number of migration visas available, including Temporary Skill Shortage visas. This means that extra places for businesses experiencing a skill shortage to bring in workers from overseas to temporarily fill the gap.
The TSS visa lets an employer sponsor a suitably skilled worker from overseas to fill a position they can’t find an Australian worker to fill.
Applicants for TSS visas must demonstrate that they hold the necessary skills required of the occupation and the sponsoring company must demonstrate that the position is genuine.
If you’re experiencing a labour shortage in your business, consider becoming a TSS sponsor.
We are well-versed in migration law and can help you through the process required for your business to be considered as a sponsor.
